Oh, @&$#. Sitting down may lead to an untimely death?!

Have you realized that your post-grad job involves sitting (perhaps in front of a computer doing data entry) for more than six hours a day? This terrifying infographic warns that a sedentary work life, even with exercise, can increase risk of death up to 40 percent.

What’s worse, it makes us fat. So much for the freshman 15.

The New York Times released a report last month concluding that sedentary work is a rising cause of obesity in the U.S. Yet one of my favorite bloggers/authors Marion Nestle gave a pretty interesting counter argument. A heavier fate can be avoided simply by eating less and choosing healthier foods.
